Taupe Colours

Taupe paint colours from Cameron Colours — 12 taupe shades, each available as a 60ml sample pot and in dead matt, matt or satin, depending on the surface. Cleaner taupes hold up in south-facing light; dirtier, muted taupes keep their character in north-facing rooms.

How our codes work: the letter denotes the undertone — R Red, O Orange, Y Yellow, G Green, B Blue, P Purple, Br Brown, Gr Grey, W White. Then come the family number, the tone (1 light, 2 mid, 3 dark) and the colour’s own number, for example Y-4.2.042c (short: Y042c). The trailing c or d shows whether the colour is clean or dirty — dirty meaning the shade has been muted with the addition of brown, grey or black.

  • Colours: 180 shades across 14 families — white, beige, greige, taupe, grey, green, blue, purple, pink, red, orange, yellow, brown, black.
  • Samples: every shade is available as a 60ml sample pot; three samples is the recommended way to choose.
  • Finishes: Wall & Ceiling: Dead Matt or Matt; kitchen and bathroom walls: Matt; all other paints: Matt or Satin — all Class 1 scrubbable.
  • Choosing: filter by family, tone, undertone and the direction your room faces — north, south, east or west.
