Blue Paint Colour Scale
The best scale for cooler light.
Four blues from pale and airy to deep ink, with Nonchalant™ on the ceiling. This scale keeps its character in cooler rooms and under cooler bulbs.

The white we’d pair with this scale
Nonchalant™ is a cool, clean white without the creaminess that would yellow against blue. It sits well above Bonnet™, the palest step, so the ceiling stays distinct.
The light this scale shares
Cooler light: 3000K to 4000K
Panhard™ and Bobber™ rate strongest under 4000K; Bonnet™, Ashfield™ and Nonchalant™ under 3000K. Every blue is weak under candle-warm 2700K bulbs, which muddy the undertone, so avoid them with this scale.
Choosing between 2700K, 3000K and 4000KHow to decorate with the Blue scale
- Ceiling
- Nonchalant™, a cool white that keeps blues clean.
- Walls
- Bonnet™ for a light, airy room; Panhard™ for more presence.
- Woodwork
- Panhard™ or Bobber™ against Bonnet™ walls.
- Cabinetry
- Bobber™ or Ashfield™ for deep, inky cabinets.
